Welcome to Lutheran Church of the Master for Transfiguration Sunday. Today’s festival acts as a bridge between Epiphany and Lent. On a high mountain Jesus is revealed as God’s beloved Son, echoing the words at his baptism. This vision of glory sustains us as Jesus faces his impending death in Jerusalem. We turn this week to Ash Wednesday and our yearly baptismal journey from Lent to Easter.
I hope you have had the opportunity to download the resources for this Season of God with us to prepare your at-home worship spaces or for worship in the building. For worship today, we’re excited to welcome Jay and our council leadership who have come together to lead worship this weekend and bring us the good news as Pastor Dave is out of town. I invite you to please download and open the worship guide to fully participate as you, too, are a vital participant in today’s liturgy. Peace & Blessings Dear Church ~ Pastor Dave
