Bible studies are a staple here at LCOM. We offer congregant-led studies and discussions of God’s Word in a variety of settings:
Women’s Bible Study
Once a month – 3rd Tuesday, 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Pat Bornholt’s house.
This group is led by Pat Gerber Bornholt, our Deacon. The group is well-established – now in their 10th year – but would love to see more members from the church and community join! Sessions are guided by a Bible study video, chosen by the group in September. In addition, there is a cookie exchange at Christmas and a potluck dinner in June.
Coed Bible Study
Saturdays at 9:00 a.m. at Church
Men’s Book Study
Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. (Offsite)
Men’s Early Riser Bible Study
Every Sunday, 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. in the Old Kitchen at Lutheran Church of the Master.
This is a men’s group, led by Roy Herbst and Dan Hoehn, that is more of a Bible fellowship than a Bible learning group. It is driven by the Bible itself and its deepest meaning. At times, they will look at a passage within the context of both testaments grasped together. The group chooses each passage or book to study by agreement. Bring your own coffee and be prepared for a spirited and Spirit-driven discussion! Again, no special preparation or pre-knowledge is needed. Just bring what’s on your heart.
We do hope that, whoever you are – friend or stranger – you will join one of our Bible Groups. You will be glad you did! For more information or to contact a group leader, please call or email the church office: 630-665-3384 or [email protected].
