Alleluia! Christ is Risen Indeed! We welcome you to worship this weekend with the Lutheran Church of the Master for Pentecost Sunday! Fifty days after Easter, we celebrate the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost. Crossing all boundaries that would separate us, the Spirit brings the wideness of God’s mercy to places we least expect it—to a crowd of strangers of different lands and tongues, to dry bones, to our weak hearts. Jesus promises his disciples that they will be accompanied by the Holy Spirit, and that this Spirit reveals the truth. We celebrate that we too have been visited with this same Spirit. Guided by the truth, we join together in worship, and then disperse to share the fullness of Christ’s love with the world.

It is my hope that you have each had the opportunity to download the resources for this Season of Resurrection to prepare either your at-home worship spaces or for worship in the building. I also hope that wherever you spend your sabbath that it is fulfilling for you as today promises to be an inspiring morning. For our liturgy today I invite you to please download and open the worship guide to fully participate as you too are a vital participant in today’s liturgy.
