We welcome you to worship this weekend with the Lutheran Church of the Master for the 1st Sunday in Lent! Our Lenten journeys continue as we hear about how God meets Jesus at the water before he is tempted in the wilderness. From this, first and foremost, we know that God claims us. God meets us in the liminal space, at the water’s edge, at the threshold of something new, and names us Beloved. God’s covenant with all of creation reminds us that God meets us where we are—in the midst of our reluctance, doubt, eagerness, or weariness—and proclaims we are good.
It is my hope that you have each had the opportunity to download the resources for this season to prepare your at home worship spaces. I also hope that they continue to be fulfilling for you as today promises to be an inspiring morning. For our liturgy today I invite you to please download and open the worship guide to fully participate as you too are a vital participant in today’s liturgy. Peace & Blessings Dear Church ~ Pastor Dave
